Mr. David Usupashvili summed up the OSCE PA

Chairman of Parliament 05 Jul 2016
Mr. David Usupashvili summed up the OSCE PA

The Speaker of Georgian Parliament summed up the OSCE PA held in Tbilisi.

“I am glad that practically all the Delegations and participants expressed cordial gratitude for organization of the event on high level. All technical, organizational and contextual components appeared to be organized on the highest level. I received the ocean of appreciation words from my colleagues and I would like to thank them back”.

As the Speaker stated, these days Georgia proved to be capable of organization of such events on high level, though there were some political nuances during the event. “There were some political nuances that did not quite comply with such events and unfortunately today, the reporters from the high podium stated that they witness unprecedented events when the political processes were put to the internal political angle at the extent that they were considered by OSCE PA members. It is the first time when Georgia hosts such wide-scale event and Georgia will consider the obtained experience for the future. “We will act in different manner other time so to manage lobbying of political interests by means not being counter-productive or without the basis for some remarks. Let’s consider that this event was within the norm”.

He wished success to the newly elected President. “I am glad that I in person along with others, had the honor to be not only the host of the event, not only participant but one of the co-organizers. I would like to wish success to everyone including to the newly elected President whoever it will be”.
