Online Meeting of Vice-Speaker Kakhaber Kutchava with Vice President of European Parliament, Heidi Hautala

Vice-Speaker Kakhaber Kutchava held an online meeting with the Vice President of the European Parliament Heidi Hautala.
The MEP congratulated K. Kuchava on the adoption of the report on Georgia by the European Parliament last week and noted that she positively assesses the ongoing political processes in the country, hails the reforms carried out and is an active supporter of Georgia on the country's EU and NATO path.
The parties discussed the issues of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections.
The Vice Speaker informed the EU politician about the constitutional changes and electoral reform and addressed a proposal to H. Hautala about the arrival of the EUMM in Georgia.
According to Heidi Hautala, amid the COVID-19 infection, the monitoring missions have been suspended at this stage, however, she expressed commitment to reconsider the issue and Georgia may become the first country to receive a European Union Monitoring Mission.
Environmental protection being one of the topics of the conversation, K. Kuchava remarked that it is important for Georgia to intensify relations with EU countries in this direction and become an active participant in the events planned within the framework of the "Green Deal".
