The Letter of Condolences by the Speaker, Mr. David Usupashvili addressed to his Turkish Counterpart, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Mr. Ismail Kahraman

The Speaker, on behalf of the Parliament of Georgia, expressed condolences to Mr. Kahraman on the occasion of the developments in Turkey expressing solidarity to Turkish people.

“Dear Colleague,

on behalf of the Parliament of Georgia, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of those affected by the developments in Turkey, which have left hundreds of people dead and over and thousand injured.

We condemn any violent act directed against the constitutional order. We stand in solidarity with the Turkish people and continue to support our important ally in its effort to achieve peace and stability on its territory and strengthen democratic institutions and rule of law.

I avail myself of this opportunity to extend to Your Excellency the assurances of my highest consideration”.
