The meeting of Mikheil Kavelashvili with the Ambassador of Israel

The Chair of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee, Mikheil Kavelashvili held the introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Israel, H.E. Ran Gidor to discuss the bilateral cooperation and the further prospects.

M. Kavelashvili introduced the Committee activity and dwelt on the legislative activity by the Committee, as well as the implemented and scheduled reforms.

“I introduced to the Ambassador the Committee strategy and the 3-year action plan of the Committee. We dwelt on the significant initiatives and directions upheld by the Committee, including the Law on Sports, which is soon to be finalized. We have commenced the development of the Mass Sports Strategy, as well as we have been quite productive in approving the Youth Policy Concept. The Ambassador asked about the details of these issues”, - M. Kavelashvili noted.

The Parties underlined the bilateral relations and the cooperation within the Committee, and stressed cooperation in spots tourism sphere.

According to M. Kavelashvili, the meeting with the Ambassador was positive as the parties had an opportunity to exchange important information and agree on contingent cooperation.

“The meeting was very interesting. I believe in our further cooperation as the healthy lifestyle and sports, as well as development of the youth are the key directions. The Ambassador expressed his will to be engaged in these processes”, - M. Kavelashvili noted.
