The First Deputy Chair of the Sports and Youth Issues Committee, Shota Khabareli met with the representatives of the regions in view of facilitation of physical education and development of sports.

The parties discussed the Memorandum concluded by the Fitness and Physical Education Association with the Youth Center, Sports University and Education Ministry. The document envisages establishment of the sports component within the Education Ministry project “New School Model” and the lessons of the physical education in the schools.

According to Sh. Khabareli, physical education has been held in a chaotic manner in schools.

The new program systematizes the sports activities. The participants of the meeting will coordinate establishment of the program in public schools in the regions.
