The working visit of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Friendship Group to Baku

The members of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Friendship Group, Makhir Darziev, Gela Samkharauli an Ramaz Nikolaishvili headed by the Vice Speaker, Zviad Dzidziguri served the counter working visit to Baku on May 7-9 with invitation of the Head of Azerbaijan-Georgia Friendship Group, Aflatun Amashov.
Georgian MPs held the meetings with the Chair of the Diaspora Committee, Fuad Muradov, Deputy Foreign Minister Ramiz Hasanov, Chairman of the Milli Mejlis Ziyafet Asgarov and the Head of Parliamentary Cooperation Group, Aflatun Amashov.
The parties discussed the Parliamentary cooperation prospects, centuries of friendship between Georgian and Azerbaijani people and noted importance of maintenance of friendly relations.
The parties touched upon the issues facilitating to further development of bilateral relations and discussed economic, social and cultural-educational cooperation.
Georgian MPs visited the shrine of the former President of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev and the Shahid Alley, commemorated the heroes fallen for independence of Azerbaijan.
