Irina Pruidze participating in the Open Government Partnership Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting
The Chair of the Open Governance Permanent Parliamentary Council, Irina Pruidze delivered the speech at the Open Government Partnership Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting held in Seoul.
She spoke about importance of Parliamentary openness at the opening ceremony high level panel and introduced the achievements of the Parliament of Georgia.
“Democracy cannot be achieved and maintained without open government. Involvement of the civil society and other parties concerned in open governance process brings more ideas and diversity, as well as critical assessments facilitating to the Parliament in its capacity building”, - she noted.
She at the panel “Parliament, as the partner to the open government reform”, overviewed the activity of the Open Governance Permanent Parliamentary Council and development and implementation of the action plans in cooperation with the civil society.
I. Pruidze also met with the Speaker and MPs of South Korean Parliament.
