Parliamentary Standing Council of Open Government 07 Nov 2019
Irine Pruidze: Georgian Parliament is globally distinguished in terms of openness and transparency

The First Deputy Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Irine Pruidze met with the staff members of the EaP Parliaments to discuss the achievements of the Georgian Parliament in terms of openness, transparency and accountability.

“Our Parliament is globally distinguished in terms of openness and transparency and the diverse and interesting instruments created right for civil engagement. During the meeting, we shared our experience, as well as the challenges we face in this regard, including the lack of public awareness of these instruments. Talks also touched upon the future plans that are to further improve the openness of the Parliament and promote the involvement of our citizens in parliamentary work”, - Irine Pruidze noted.
