Mariam Jashi, Genadi Margvelashvili and Simon Nozadze visited Z. Zhvania Public Administration School

The Chair of the Education, Science and Culture Committee, Mariam Jashi, First Deputy Chair, Genadi Margvelashvili and the Committee member, Simon Nozadze visited Z. Zhvania Public Administration School and met with the School administration and the pedagogues. The School provides the academic course of sector fields and official language.

The School Principal, Ketevan Makharashvili noted that the program is applied in 10 regional academic centers of School (Akhalkalaki, Ninotsminda, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Dmanisi, Gardabani, Tsalka, Sagarejo Municipality – village Lambalo, Akhmeta and Lagodekhi) and in mobile groups envisaging learning abroad. The official language program is financed by the state. According to M. Jashi, teaching official language is one of the most important programs.

“I often meet the youth and elders speaking Georgian language in Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti and I am extremely glad to see the results of the program”, - she stated.

She expressed commitment to render aid to School in solution of the problems during program implementation and extension of the list of the donors. According to G. Margvelasvhili, he hails that the national minorities in Georgia express their interest to learn Georgian language.

According to S. Nozadze, language is the primary medium of our culture. Hence, teaching Georgian language will further enhance love of national minorities to their homeland. The pedagogues shared their experience and introduced the current situation in the regional centers.
