“Today, initiated by the Faction “United National Movement”, we registered the draft resolution in the Parliament assessing the June 20 developments”, - Salome Samadashvili stated.

The draft assigns the Foreign Affairs Ministry to develop the list of the Russian politicians the visit of which to Georgia can be considered inexpedient.

“With the respective draft resolution, we appeal to the Parliament to estimate the sitting held in the Parliament on June 20 presided by Sergey Gavrilov as the act against the state interests. The draft envisages development of the list of the persons inviting S. Gavrilov to Georgia, ensuring the sitting presided by him. The draft also envisages definition of the list of the persons responsible for violence on June 20-21 and the list of the persons, facilitating with their political decisions to Russian interests. We hear the statement by Russia that June 20-21 developments are related to the attempt of the opposition of the unrest and disorders in the country and Georgian politicians with their decisions facilitate to this process. All these persons shall be enrolled to Gavrilov Act. We appeal to the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee and the Legal Issues Committee to determine the list of the persons and develop the sanctions expedient towards these persons by the international community. Correspondingly, the list and the sanctions shall be submitted to the Parliament within the term of 2 months. The draft resolution has been registered today and at the nearest plenary session we will demand inclusion thereof into the agenda for official considerations”, - she noted.
