The meeting of Givi Mikanadze with the Ambassador of Norway

The Secretary General of the Parliament, Givi Mikanadze held the introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Norway, H.E. Helene Sand Andresen and introduced the information about the upheld and ongoing reforms in the administration of the Parliament and on main priorities of the activity of the Staff.
He introduced the works improving accessibility to the Parliament Palace for the persons with disabilities and dwelt on the new functions of the Training Center, Civic Engagement Center and Distance internship pilot program.
The parties touched upon the e-learning program and noted that e-learning in Norway is successfully implemented in the Governmental agencies.
Mr. Mikanadze appealed to the Ambassador to share experience and facilitate in this direction. As he noted, the e-learning platform has been recently established in the Parliament and now it is under development. Hence, sharing the experience of countries like Norway is interesting and important for Georgia.
The parties overviewed the intensification of cooperation between the Parliamentary administrations. Mr. Mikanadze introduced the internship initiative for the Staffers of the Georgian Parliament to Norway and offered to establish the communications.
The Ambassador estimated the meeting with the Secretary General as interesting and pledged to render assistance and cooperation on discussed issues.
