The meeting of Paata Kvizhinadze with Interns
The Deputy-Chair of Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee met with interns. He spoke about legislative activity, market economic and social-economic situation, agriculture and food safety. He underlined importance of EU Association Agreement in terms of free trade development and noted that one of the main tasks of the Government is to gradually enter European market. It is important that current legislation to be harmonized with European standards which will take 3-4 years.
He introduced the structure and composition of the Committee and spoke about activity and sundry drafts. “We actively cooperate with other Committees, executive branch and NGOs, as well as citizens. Our Committee considered 190 drafts during the last year, on 76 of which our Committee was leading and on 114 we developed the mandatory conclusions”.
He also answered the questions concerning market economy development, GEL inflation, agriculture and tourism development. In the end he wished success to interns and expressed his commitment for cooperation. In 2015, the Parliament has 24 interns to serve for 6 months in various structural units and who are actively involved in routine activity. Internship also implies meetings with the Chairs, Deputies and MPs which is to be ensured by HR Department.
