The Ukraine-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group hosted the Ukrainian producer, writer and activist, Oleg Sentsov.

“Oleg Sentsov is a model and one of the dignified examples of civil patriotism of the last decade. I believe, this person deserves our maximal support and respect”, - the member of the Friendship Group, Giorgi Mosidze noted.

In 2014, O. Sentsov manifested the statehood and civil position confronting the annexation of Crimea regardless of being the resident of Crimea and ethnically Russian.

“The first film, gaining the prizes at the international film festivals, has been made in Simferopol and we all know the consequences. He was severely punished by Russian and in 2019, after being through the dark waters, he was exchanged along with other captives as a result of Russia-Ukraine agreement”, - G. Mosidze added.

The meeting was attended by Georgian MPs Goga Gulordava, David Matikashvili, Sergi Kapanadze, Giorgi Mosidze, Genadi Margvelashvili, Gogi Meshveliani and Ada Marshania.
