The Parliamentary Delegation serving the visit to Estonia

The Parliamentary Delegation, headed by Giorgi Khatidze, serves the visit to Tallinn, Estonia to participate in the training tour organized by the US House Democracy Partnership, IRI and Electronic Governance Academy of Estonia.

The seminar is dedicated to e-governance, Estonian experience etc. The seminar was attended by the Delegations of Armenia, Ukraine and Northern Macedonia. The Georgian Delegation introduced the progress achieved in e-governance in Georgia and respective challenges.

Georgian MPs informed the attendees about e-governance implemented by the Permanent Parliamentary Open Governance Council. G. Khatidze stressed the achievements of the Parliament within the open governance program in regards with innovative technologies for civic engagement in the legislative process.

The delegates also emphasized the e-cabinet – approach of the Estonian Government to transparency and accountability; management, democracy and civic engagement in digital society; legal basis of digital society; private-public partnership model in e-governance development and civic engagement; government-civil society partnership in building sustainable democracy.

Georgian MPs met with their colleagues from Estonian Parliament, including the Head of Estonia-Georgia Friendship Group. Estonia, as the partner and friend country to Georgia, strongly supports territorial integrity and non-recognition policy, democratic development and reforming in Georgia.

The Delegation is composed of: Giorgi Khatidze, Giorgi Kakhiani, Guguli Magradze, Irakli Abesadze and Mamuka Chikovani.
