The Chair of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, Giorgi Kakhiani met with the interns and spoke about the Committee specifics and functions. “Interns of the Parliament enjoy the opportunity to in person study the activity of the Parliament and be the witness of legislative activities deriving from your specialization and profile”, - he noted.

He spoke about the legislative and oversight functions of the Parliament and stated that the Committee is mainly oriented to the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, development of changes thereto and public service law.

The Committee studies the MP status related issues, definition of proportional representative quotes etc. G. Kakhiani touched upon oversight of the executive authority by the Parliament and emphasized the new norms and approaches of the Constitutional changes.

The interns asked about the MP status, entrepreneurial activity of MPs, new Public Service law, e-signatures and Code of Conduct norms.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the HR Department, Diana Asatiani and the member of the Personnel Management, Analysis, Planning and Registration Division, Guliko Ratiani.
