Irine Pruidze: engagement and information of the youth is very important for improvement of the image and trust of the Parliament
The First Deputy Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Irine Pruidze met with the Members of the Students Parliament and informed them about EU integration, foreign course and territorial integrity.
She made the special emphasis on activity of the Committee and dwelt on implementation of the tasks within the EUAA and DCFTA, as well as the reforming in the country. On this path, she noted, it is crucial to enhance the democratic institutions and economic development which requires engagement of all state institutions.
She overviewed the activity of the Permanent Parliamentary Open Governance Council and the Gender Equality Council.
She stressed importance of youth engagement in the Parliamentary processes: “Engagement and information of the youth is very important for improvement of the image and trust of the Parliament. We have developed numerous new instruments for facilitation to civic engagement in the Parliamentary activity and the society and especially the youth shall be informed about it”.
