Irine Pruidze: soon, we will introduce the novelties about the Parliamentary Openness to facilitate to intensive engagement of the citizens in the Parliamentary activity
Development of the new Parliamentary website, improvement of the mobile application, enactment of the public engagement center, establishment of the museum, arrangement of the Parliamentary corners in the regions – these are the novelties scheduled by the Parliament for the nearest future as stated today at the sitting of the Permanent Parliamentary Open Governance Council.
“Today, at the sitting of the Council, we introduced to the society the report of implementation of the Open Parliament Action Plan for 2018-2019. We discussed implementation of the commitments and what else is to be ensured to accomplish the plan. We have already covered many directions in regards with Parliamentary Openness. We have already strived to ensure intensification of the role of the Parliament in fulfillment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals”, - the Chair of the Council, Irina Pruidze stated.
The report of the Working Group on definition of the special e-form for development of the bill, as well as development of the video-instructions and the manuals for conclusion of the explanatory note and on upload thereof to the Parliamentary website was introduced by the Chair of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, Giorgi Kakhiani.
The Secretary General, Givi Mikanadze introduced the information about the civic engagement center, establishment of the Parliamentary museum and arrangement of the Parliamentary corners in the regions.
He introduced the details of the project Green Parliament and spoke about the e-training program in the Training Center.
The presentation on the mobile application improvement version was introduced by the Deputy Secretary General, Ketevan Kvinikadze and the Deputy Secretary General Shota Goshadze introduced the draft for the public reception.
According to I. Pruidze, all these novelties will facilitate to engagement of the citizens in the Parliamentary activity and public awareness on Parliamentary democracy, which is crucial for the Parliamentary Republic.
