Open Governance Permanent Council Keeps Up Intensive Work
Although the state of countrywide emergency, the OGP continues to work intensively.
In view to strengthen the Parliamentary openness and increase the involvement and information of the citizens, the Council elaborated on the information regarding the state of emergency.
The initiative has been implemented in cooperation with IDFI and was backed by the EU and UNDP.

- Grounds, procedures, deadlines and activities of the Parliament of Georgia in the process of declaring a state of emergency;
- Restriction of the rights defined by the Constitution of Georgia during the state of emergency in accordance with the Presidential Decree;
- Mechanisms of citizen involvement in the activities of the Parliament amid the state of emergency;
- Rules for flattening the curve in the state.
“Timely and accurate information to public stands out as one of the most important tasks amid the pandemic COVID-19. The OGP remains active in all directions and hence, guidelines and infographics outlining the activities of the Parliament during the pandemic have been elaborated on. I would like to thank the EU, UNDP and the IDFI for their support toward this initiative”, - the Chair of the Council, Kakha Kutchava stated.
