The meetings of the Parliamentary Majority in Strasbourg and Brussels

The Parliamentary Delegation headed by Irakli Kobakhidze holds the meetings in Strasbourg and Brussels.
Yesterday, the Delegation, composed of the Vice-Speaker Kakha Kuchava, Chair of the EU Integration Committee David Songulashvili and the Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee Beka Odisharia met with the PACE Secretary General, Wojciech Sawicki to discuss the activity of Georgian Delegation in the CoE.
Georgian MPs informed the Secretary General about the situation on the occupied territories and touched upon illegal detention of the physician Vazha Gaprindashvili. “We dwelt on the activity of our Delegation to hold in the PACE. We touched upon the interests of Georgia and which shall be submitted to the Assembly. We spoke about the issue of Russia, which is particularly sensitive and we dwelt on the situation in the occupied regions. Special emphasis was made on detention of Vazha Gaprindashvili”, - I. Kobakhidze commented to media.
The Parliamentary Delegation is to attend the CoE Winter Session on January 27 with the updated composition with the head, Irakli Kobakhidze.
As he stated, the priority of the Delegation will envisage the submission of the interests related to the territorial integrity of Georgia and the enhancement of the positions of Georgia in the international arena.
Today, the Majority MPs hold the meetings with the MEPs.
